Who We Are

Our mission is to shed light on the wrongful convictions that plague our justice system and advocate for reforms to prevent them from occurring in the future.
Our Approach
Justice Denied is run by a dedicated team of volunteers who are passionate about justice and equality. We work tirelessly to assist members of our communities in their quest for justice, offering support, resources, and advocacy to those in need.
Wrongful convictions can occur for a variety of reasons, many of which are deeply rooted in systemic issues within the legal system. Some of the most common causes include:
Often considered one of the leading causes of wrongful convictions, eyewitness misidentification can occur due to various factors such as poor lighting, stress, or suggestive identification procedures.
In some cases, individuals may confess to crimes they did not commit due to coercion, fear, or mental illness. These confessions can carry significant weight in court, leading to wrongful convictions.
Police and prosecutorial misconduct, such as evidence tampering, coercion, and failure to disclose exculpatory evidence, can lead to wrongful convictions.
Mistakes or intentional misconduct in forensic science can result in the wrongful imprisonment of innocent individuals. This includes errors in DNA testing, fingerprint analysis, and other forensic methods.
